Jim Tice

Jim brings over 35 years of Country Radio expertise to AGC, having dominated airwaves from Washington DC's WMZQ to Columbia's WCOS, Birmingham's WZZK for 16 years, Richmond's K95, and Huntsville's WDRM. As Program Director in Birmingham, he led WZZK to an incredible #1 rating over 40 times, establishing himself as a true industry powerhouse. His extensive experience spans multiple markets and decades of country music evolution. After entering semi-retirement, Jim discovered he genuinely missed being on the air and playing country music. He dreamed of owning a terrestrial radio station but knew they were mighty expensive. That dream became reality when he launched AGC Radio - Alabama's Greatest Country, proving that passion and persistence pay off. His vision created a platform where classic country storytelling meets modern broadcasting excellence. Jim also showcases his talents as a weather professional, with his forecasts heard across the country. He came out of semi-retirement to join TGC, playing Georgia Classics alongside longtime friend Sanders Hickey. Now with AGC Radio, Jim combines his programming genius, weather expertise, and deep love for country music, creating an authentic listening experience that reflects his decades of industry mastery.

Andrew Jackson

Andrew's radio journey began in marketing and promotions, sparking his lifelong love for connecting with listeners. Over the years, he's worn every hat in broadcasting: Radio Personality, Producer, Studio Engineer, Music Director, Program Director, and Public Affairs Director. He even served as an airborne traffic reporter during the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, combining his passions for broadcasting and flying. Andrew credits industry mentors like the late Rusty Walker for shaping both his radio career and life philosophy. He produced memorable shows including "Rhubarb Jones & The Morning Zoo Crew" and the wildly successful "Cryin', Lovin', Laughin', or Leavin'" - a listener-driven program that played only 6-7 songs per hour while captivating audiences with real stories. His career spans legendary stations including Y106, Y104, FOX 97, WSB, and others across Georgia and South Carolina. For over 35 years, Andrew has operated his own recording production studio, creating voice-over content for radio, television, and corporate clients. As an accomplished entrepreneur and public speaker, he credits his broadcasting experiences as the foundation of his success. Andrew brings decades of industry expertise and genuine passion for radio storytelling to every show.

"Mike at Night"

Monday to Friday
7pm - 12am

Mike McKenzie

Mike McKenzie brings sharp wit, raspy warm pipes, and creative firepower to weeknights on AGC — Alabama's Greatest Country. As a decorated copywriter and producer, Mike crafted unforgettable radio campaigns that made listeners lean in and laugh out loud. Now recently "funemployed," he trades ad copy for album cuts with the same storytelling savvy that earned him industry awards. Mike's passion for country music ignited at age four when his Ford engineer father brought home Red Simpson's "Hello, I'm a Truck" on 45. By his teens, he discovered that country music represented pure storytelling, with Merle Haggard as the master of prose. This revelation connected his love of literature with his musical passion. Working with Jim Tice again feels like coming full circle for Mike, who credits Tice with bringing him to Birmingham in 2000. He mixes music, memory, and unscriptable charm behind the mic. Join Mike at Night on AGC from 7pm to Midnight Central, where creative expertise meets genuine country storytelling.
